JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Electrical Engineering Manager will contribute at a high level of engineering oversight to assist with the development of new or less-experienced designers and engineering staff. You will be a subject matter expert and will interface with customers. This highly visible, hands-on position will be an integral role with the on-going growth of the organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Evaluate and determine feasibility of customer requirements for high power devices Provide application and test expertise for all product lines 
  • Lead and conduct device performance & failure investigations 
  • Assist as subject matter expert in preparing and presenting performance and failure analysis reports 
  • Present and discuss results of these investigations internally and with customers. Contribute to company productivity and scrap reduction projects 
  • Assist customers with applying the products in their power electronics systems and lead and/or assist in resolving application issues 
  • Provide basic project management (cost estimates and schedule planning for key milestones) for development, investigation, or analysis projects 
  • Responsible for product test line(s) which includes test requirement definitions, troubleshooting, tester upgrades, and comparing correlation between testers Assist or develop data sheets for all products 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering 
  • Experience in an industry or field relevant to high power electronics 
  • Ability to lead, manage and develop a team 
  • High degree of problem-solving, engineering curiosity, and analytic capability Experience with modern test equipment and measurement methods, particularly MIL STD methods for power electronics 
  • Experience with software tools to model, simulate, and analyze the mechanical (stress and thermal) and electrical (inductance, current balancing, electrostatic) performance of devices
