JOB DESCRIPTION

The Assistant Director of Nursing Education and Training Development is accountable for the overall direction of the Nursing Education department. Directs, plans, and evaluates nursing, clinical, and general education for the Hospital by directing a team of Nursing Educators and Clinical Nursing Instructors in the provision of continuous development and learning activities for nursing staff. Collaborates with Academic Directors to create a climate and structure that encourages continuous nursing professional development throughout the organization. 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED 

• Educational: Bachelor, Sciences of Nursing (BSN) from recognized college and Master's Degree in Nursing or other relevant field is highly required. Postgraduate Doctoral Degree (PhD) in nursing is highly preferable
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 12 years progressive post-graduate experience with 4 years recent acute hospital experience as Nursing Education Manager/Senior Nursing post (Essential), and previous experience of working in a multi-cultural environment 
• Certification: Clinical Nurse Educator course 
• Licensing: Basic Life Support Certification (BLS), if applicable
• Specialized Knowledge: Excellent command of spoken and written English
