Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases and conditions, as well as the provision of medical care in the field of Pediatrics and Neonatology.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Examine and treat patients according to trained specialty and techniques, in line with practicing license granted by authorities and privileges granted by hospital.
Examination and treatment of outpatient and inpatient for neonatal and pediatric diseases, including neonatology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, nutrition, nephrology, hematology and so on.
Perform independent basic and advanced procedures: neonatal and pediatric resuscitation, intubation, central catheterization, lumbar puncture, naso-tracheal aspiration and so on.
Consultation with outside pediatric specialists, like cardiology, endocrinology, neurology and so on if needed.
Relevant consultation with full and detailed information for patients and/or relatives to prevent misunderstanding or lack of information.
Ensure compliance with hospital and department policies, procedures, with other regulatory and local legal, MOH, DOH, JCI.
Ensuring the completion of medical records in accordance with the Ministry of Health, Department of Health and IC.
Explain to the patient fully about the situation, progression, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient and his/her family to satisfy customer satisfaction.
Following roster and shiftwork as assigned by Head of Department. Attend daily briefing.
Ensure that sufficient and relevant information should be exchanged at the beginning and at the end of each shift. Record shift events: admission, discharge, transfer, unstable patients and medical orders to finish into logbook at the end of each shift.
Performing scientific research, attending scientific fairs and meetings.
Participate in quality improvement, development and improve services to increase patient satisfaction and increase the use of the hospital services,
Support Marketing Department to introduce and promote activities of Department
Vaccination consultation for children from 0-16 years old
Report to management as required regarding the operation of the department.
Effectuate other tasks as assigned by upper management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Western Board Certification in specialty required.
Valid practice license (or eligibility for same).
Post-graduate degree in Pediatrics
5 years or more of working experience
Ability to efficiently perform emergency and resuscitation procedures.
