JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide clinical supervision of direct care staff and clinical intervention and case management for clients diagnosed with chemical dependency or co-occurring chemical dependency and mental health disorders. 

 

LICENSED COUNSELOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct client assessments and evaluations including screening for co-occurring disorders.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for clients that address chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders.
  • Develop discharge plans with clients that include provisions for co-occurring disorders if identified.
  • Monitor client fee payments and refer clients for financial staffings.
  • Retrieve drug screen results and document in file.
  • Provide case management services for clients.
  • Provide individual, group and family counseling, as necessary.
  • Prepare and maintain clinical records within required time frame.
  • Submit reports as required.
  • Participate in clinical staffings and team meetings.
  • Participate in weekly therapeutic community meetings.
  • Make referrals to appropriate resource agencies and document outcomes of referrals.
  • Provide crisis intervention, when needed.
  • Assist in training and education of other staff members, interns and students.

 

COUNSELOR SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide clinical assistance and guidance, acting as a resource for direct care staff regarding program procedures.
  • Provide direct supervision and coordination of direct care staff to include hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, evaluations, and conflict resolution.
  • Facilitate patient intake admissions and assign primary counselor.
  • Monitor status of patient fee payments, patient employment activities, and phase-ups.
  • Develop weekly groups schedule.
  • Ensure contracts compliance, to include monitoring patient files for QA, and assist with agency audits as needed.
  • Facilitate clinical staffing and team meetings.
  • Prepare and maintain clinical records, to include review of direct care staff records.
  • Assist internal staff, courts, and probation officer in monitoring furlough requests and discharge proposals.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree 
  • LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports 
  • Ability to speak effectively
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables
  • Knowledge of 12-step program, behavior modification, case management and addiction

  • $34,000 - $62,000 depending on experience and license status
