JOB DESCRIPTION

A highly innovative and fast growing ML and computer vision startup helping with safety issues in the world of autonomous vehicles seeks a Lead Software Engineer to work on their Data Platform and manage. This role is remote until Boston area offices can safely open. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Define & deliver on a roadmap that will prepare our platform for increasing data volume & new ML efforts as we expand
• Oversee & provide tech guidance on efforts related to the collection, management, processing, & security of data
• Coordinate with data scientists, machine learning engineers & other stakeholders to ensure that our data infrastructure evolves w the org
• Lead & develop a small, growing team of engineers

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years commercial software dev using Python
• Solid software design skills with experience writing well-tested and scalable code
• Experience or familiarity with big data
• Experience with:
  • Relational databases (we use PostgreSQL)
  • Containerization (e.g. Docker)
  • Workload orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, Airflow, Nextflow)
  • Both on-prem and cloud-based data storage and processing
  • Proven familiarity with best practices surrounding data security
  • Proven track record planning and delivering on development milestones aligned with business goals

Preferred:

• Management experience; Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, and RDS): Startup experience
• Experience developing data pipeline for a machine learning
